26th February, 2006: Acquiring new equipment for new playing style

The CARBON blade is a state of the art product which is designed and produced using the very latest top quality material and production methods. Veneers of wood are combined with a new type of carbon fibre, which is known to be used in the aviation industry. The quality of the carbon gives the blade outstanding characteristics, a high torsional strength and high rigidity whilst still maintaining a light weight. Due to a sophisticated glueing and pressing method, we have succeeded in combining natural wood and carbon fibres to design a very fast blade with a level of feeling and control like no other. The high torsional strength of the carbon fibre material gives the blade a massive sweet spot area. The CARBON blade is for those who thrive for speed and technology. 7 layer - 5 ply wood + 2 ply carbon fiber I'll use DHS G666 on forehand and SriverEL (Sriver G2 coming soon). I believe it not be as heavy as a shakehand paddle. It would be my first time to try a carbon blade.

26th February, 2006: Played hard, performed well...

I guess we all played so hard yesterday. I saved every shot that I normally couldn't. I roll all over on the court. I did play very well to beat our former rival UIUC. Especially in doubles, I teamed with our number one player and beat UIUC's top two players. We finished 3-0 in doubles and overall 3-2. The doubles match was a crucial moment to decide who's the winner. Everyone said I played like I should've been all the time. I was really focused in all the matches. Even I played with some junk players. I left no mercy. The only thing that upset me is that, our team couldn't beat our top rival, IIT. They changed their format. Number one player becomes their number four player. That means I had the toughest matchup in all matches. But I did my best, it's just that I'm not experienced in returning different serves. And our number one player all of a sudden became so nervous all the end of the match. He was leading 10-8 match point in the last game (2-2). But he had so much pressure on him, since he's the one who decide whether SIUC will advance to the national final. He let his opponent tied the game at 10-10. But we had 2 match points in deuce, we just couldn't capitalize and finish it. It's a fun trip even we didn't advance to the final. I hope we'll do better in the future.

25th February, 2005: SIUTT @ UIUC

Today is a big day for SIUC table tennis team. We finally have a full team this time to face the combat. We have 2 Chinese players (including me), a Malaysian and an Indian player. Our coach will be coming with us too. From that we can see how passionate he is with table tennis. I hope we'll be the only undefeated team tomorrow. And that would allow us to play in the National College Championship. I'm totally ready for tomorrow and this time I didn't switch my equipment a month prior to this tournament. God Bless me and our team!

12th February, 2006: New apartment, new stuff, new dish!!!

spinach garlic fried rice Laptop & JBL speaker system satalite speaker with underglow subwoofer my comment on this system on Amazon.com
I'm very satisfied with my new JBL speaker system. For its price, it's worth it. The size of those satalite speakers is just incredible. It's so small. The output is higher than they look for sure. The subwoofer tower add not just only base but also some mid tone as well. It's deep and bassy and don't vibrate like other cheap subwoofers. The underglow green LED light adds an accent to this futuristic design. The black plastic body matches with my laptop. Oh yes, I love it. Thanks again to my dad. I was thinking about getting a system like this since last september. I just didn't have chance to get it with my old and outdated computer. So far my apartment is doing very fine. I spent more of my time on my desk and kitchen. Either cooking or sleeping... :) I'm not fat, i made my point! Happy Chinese new year to everyone that's reading this blog! Wish you all good luck, be healthy and more of all, be safe the whole time.

8th February, 2006: Star Wars UFOs are on its way!!

Guess what, I purchased a 2.1 speaker system for my laptop. This is JBL Creature II in black. There are other colors available (red, Grey, Alluminum). But black and white are both on sale. There were several brands and models that I was considering, such as Creative, Logitech...The reason why I chose JBL is because of its reputation. Our family owns a JBL 2.1 system at home. It's been sitting there for more than a decade now. It's still sitting there rocking!!! I'll get it this friday before noon. I can't wait to hook this up for my laptop and play movies with it.

6th February, 2006: JDM 1G Eclipse in Japan

It's rare to find 1G eclipses in Asia regions. If you find one, please leave links for me to check out. I found one from DSMtuners.com. It looks pretty much like a Toyota AE86 to me. What do you guys think :). It reminds me of my car since it's red. I just wish that I could makeover my car and make it a street monster. It's all about money again. From what I see in the picture, it could possibly be a drift car. The owner could be a skillful AWD/FWD drifter. Sweet!!

4th February, 2006: My car is still in the shop and i'm running low on food

Last night I went to Wendy's with my tried body. I stayed there for 30 mins to finish a "full course meal". A spicy chicken burger with baked potato, yogurt, 3 chicken strips and a hagaan daz ice cream bar for dessert. It costed about $12 altogether. I wasn't that full afterward. But still better than nothing in my stomach. I played terrible pingpong this weekend. I didn't accomplish anything. And the bad thing is, the tournament is coming in 2 weeks. I'm not sure if I'd be ready for that. I eat well, sleep well, play well, study well...these days. I love my new apartment!
It looks like a movie scene
fighting against a whole bunch of monsters with a whole bunch of companies
That's me, the monk who can cast spells!
That's the biggest monster yet I've seen
Standing there and chilling in front of a battle

2nd February. 2006: Bought a new bag to replace my old shoulder-hurting bag

I went to the bookstore to get new bag to replace my old one. The old one has a really thin strap which hurts my shoulder whenever I carry heavy stuff. The one that I got is JanSport Oslo. It's a pretty good looking bag. At first, I was trying to figure what kind of bag this is. I knew what this is until I got home and figure all that out. It's light and comfortable. I can carry my computer with it. And not to mention, great for school and travel. The auto shop guy called and let me know what's the status of my car. He said the supposed to receive the turbo today. But the shipment was running behind. So they called the store and find out when will the turbo arrive. It'd be on friday. It all depends on what time they get the turbo. If it's early in the morning, i might have a chance to get my car back by the end of the day.

1st February, 2006: Chou Yun Fat is here!

That's my barbarian that i took him for a journey to this town. He rocks!!!
You won't believe that Chou Yun Fat's face is featured in the game. I'm using a monk with his face.
