Um...Nothing bored. So I wrote this new post. I ordered the ticket for Sevendust's concert @ Evansville. Seems like I'd be on the first row. There are my favorite rock band. I can't wait to see them playing.

Finally I updated the windows with their service pack and security patches. Also I installed Bazooka adware scanner and Lavasoft's Ad-ware 6. My computer has no pop up now. How great!!! I spent more than a day in getting rid of the adwares and spywares. I'm glad that I got rid of all those annoying stuff. ^ ^ I have no idea why the african violets that I have in my apartment are not blooming. Is there something wrong with it. It looks like they are dying. Fertilizer is not working for them either.

June 26th, 2004: Stupid, idiot, frigging, annoying pop-ups...

Literally I spent the whole day just on looking for the right anti-adware/spyware/firewall tools. 26th is over. Now is 27th, problem is still there. I've no idea how to get rid of all those annoying pop ups. It record over 400 pop ups blocked by the yahoo pop ups blocker. It gets really annoying when you are running softwares which is not in windows. It'd switch back to windows whenever you are on another applications or softwares. I've no idea what to do with those pop-ups now. I'm trying to give it up...It's just way to annoying. If I had money, I'd sue the www.kill-pop-ups.com. There are one of them who gave me those annoying pop ups. Their adv says "Calm down! it's just a pop up". They promote their anti-spyware in this way. Man...if it's something in real life that I can touch. I'll pounch that idiot and beat him real hard. Imagine a car authorized by a body shop was told to hit your car, and command you to fix your car in their body shop. &(^*%$#^. Sorry for the swearing part. I'm really mad now!!! These days I'm pretty upset. I slept all day, ate one meal per day, not taking shower...

22nd June, 2004: BBQ short rib

I was on my way to a Korean restaurant to have BBQ short rib. However the menu in that restaurant had changed. I didn't know where else can I find it. So I decided to make my own dinner. I went to grocery stores to get all the ingredients. I was craving for BBQ ribs.
This is a bottle of sauce that you need to get
marinate the ribs with the sauce for 1 hr
Turn to medium heat, place it on a pan
add onions when the ribs are almost done
Here you go. The ribs that I wanted to eat. Done!!!

What do I usually eat?

Lots of people ask me how can I be so skinny. My theory is, eat less frequent and eat whatever you want. Here are 3 things that I love to cook when I've time
Beef&Onion with rice
Spaghetti with tomato sauce + Light fried meatballs
Having breakfast at midnight. Potato, eggs+onion, maple sausage,

15th June, 2004: Seeking for alternatives

Ever since I received the first exam score from my class, I felt I would end up this way. What way? Cannot continue for school due to getting bad grades. I've feared by that feeling for a year. Today I received a letter from the Dean. It says I didn't meet the college requirement. I cannot continue for the next semester. It's quite disappointed for me. Since I tried hard and I got nothing back. I talked with my parents about this. I told them what I'll do and what my plans were. I feel sorry to myself as well as my family. I apologize to those that have been supporting me and cheering for me for the past year. I just couldn't make it. I need a second chance. I do not want to blow it up. I'm not that kind of person who can give it up easily. I've to adjust myself and correct myself to the right conditon. I always carried the word "FEAR" wherever I was. I really want to get rid of the FEAR that I always have whenver I face on my studying. It's been a nice experience to stay in this top school (it was my dream), though I didn't make many friends and got upset by the grades. I defintely learned a lot of things out of this year. I have to change the concept facing exams. Exam is not a competition of how smart people are, it's a competition of how much effort you put into your work/preparation. Hope that helps later on for me. NBA FInals: Detriot won the last home game and beat the Lakers with the series of 4-1. My man "Big Ben" Wallace had done a nice job in scoring and defending. They deserve the NBA champ this year. Congrat for them.

I went to play basketball. I made some great shots out of the game. Not bad. Met some asian american. It was really hot!!! Plus I didn't practice and play for a long long time. So I was exhausted thoughout the game. Oh..also I workout before I played... It's really unfortunate that I got a parking ticket today just because I was there on the court playing ball. No mercy for the campus patrol. I hate it. I hate the parking facility on campus. I have to pay $10....... I still cannot capture the spider. So sad, is it still jogging around in my apartment. Don't jog on my bed while I'm sleeping please.

13th June, 2004: Spider Terror!!! SOS!!!

Suspect: Spider Color: Brown Length: About 2 inches Location: Under my refrigerator Strategy: Sprayed water all over under the refrigerator. Air conditioner turned on. Shutted every possible exit/entrance At around 1am this morning, a brown spider was jogging in front of me besides the fridge. I was freaked out for 2 seconds. Then I grabbed a DVD case and try to attack her. Unfortunately she excaped...I'm afraid I'd not sleep well. Stay tune for more news on Spider Terror!

I surfed on the internet early this morning at 6:40am. Just couldn't sleep. Oh..well...I found that Hong Kong and Japan are still making those horror movies about mysterious ghosts/souls. The new Japanese movie "One Missed Call" is about a girl witnessing her friends' death one by one. For all the deaths, they all received a voice message from their cellphone prior 3 days before the death. It'd be another big hit for the box office in HK. Nothing was done basically. Ferminating...like fugus. Stanley Cup lived in Tampa Bay, FL. I was watching the whole game. TB had a great start and took over the first 2 quarters possession. They scored 1 on each of the first 2 quarter. Calgary had a great come back on the 3rd quarter. It was so exciting to see them fight back like that. I hope I can have faith like them to achieve no matter they win or lose. Calgary scored in 10 mins of play. They could tie the game and gave the Cup to Tampa Bay without a smile. On the other hand, Tampa's fans were celebrating everywhere. I was happy for them although I don't even know how they got in the final. Don't worry Calgary fans, try again next year. You guys can do it!!! NBA final Detroit Pistons VS. LA Lakers later today.

7th June, 2004: Running out of shirts...

I wore my old shirts and jeans over and over again. They are not broken but just too monotonous and boring. And almost all the clothes that I have are in black or dark blue. Those colors are too dull for this person with dark skin. I really want to get some white shirts, but you know white color can be easy become yellow when you mix with other colors to wash in machine.

Basically today I didn't eat and slept all day long. It's kind of boring.

4th June, 2004: Apartment search

I visited some efficiency apartments today. I found 2 nice ones. Both include water. Rent is about $310-320. Plus parking $30. I will try to look for some more sometime next week.

1st June, 2004: Mall in Skokie, IL.

This is the Old Orchard Plaza in Skokie, IL. It's an outdoor mall. It looks really nice. I thought I was in Orlando. You can find all kinds of stores here. Gap, Guess, A&F, Mrs. Field, Nordstrom......

1st June, 2004: Da day for interview

I left my apartment at 1pm on the last day of May. I arrived there exactly at 4pm and that's the time hat I told my aunt I'd be there. My aunt made some beef stew noodles for me (lunch). For dinner, my uncle made fried eggs and yummy chicken rings for me. It's very yummy. I prepared my presentation for tomorrow after meals. A while later, my aunt told me to look at her computer. She asked me some questions that she had in using the internet. I showed her everything that I could. I also helped her hooked up a webcam for her computer. Meanwhile my dear sister "pig" was online. So we all had a little conversation. Ha..that's was cool. I got up really late on 1st June, no doubt I was tired. I ate bread then I headed over to Skokie, IL. The place is much much much farther than I thought. I drove more than an hour to get there. Thank god! I arrived there half an hour earlier. It took me some time to find the place. Finally I found it. It's in a tall building. I'm so glad that I'd a chance to interivew. As soon as I get in the office suite, there's another guy presenting. He's pretty serious and his major's engineering!!! Oh my gosh..my competitors are not as weak as me. I did my best to present. However there's some other guys had to interview as well, so we all went over things very quickly. Um...I've to wait until next week and see what's going on. >_< After the interview, I went over to the mall nearby. It's just across the street. I didn't have to drive long. I bought a starbuck's frappucino and walked around there. That place was like a paradise. You can find many stores that you cannot find in a normal mall. It's outdoor open area. You could feel the sunshine (The weather was good). I love it! On the way back to my aunt's home. I stopped by Northwestern University. Um...actually I got lost...anyways I went there, it's pretty cool. The reason because it's right next to the lake. There's a beach along the shore. The day after I went to movie. I saw the "Day after Tomorrow". It's an exciting movie. It's thrilling. I don't recommend those people who don't like fantasy to see this movie. Overall I like this movie.
